		<description>Steve: The Wall Street Journal &amp; Forbes magazine (two very reputable sources in my humble opinion) did a study on this very topic in 2008 and the numbers came back as follows:  average litigated divorce - $78,000 - average collaborative divorce $27,000 - average mediated divorce $7000.  if there is a custody battle or substantial assets in play when a couple goes to court, the litigated divorce averages around $180,000.  Hope that helps your readers as I know from my experience these numbers are pretty spot on.</description>
